About This Event

Join us for Summer Movie Magic presented by Denark Construction! Moviegoers will travel back in time and see this 1982 classic, as it should be: in a historic theatre originally built as a movie palace surrounded by other movie-lovers, enjoying some popcorn and a cold drink. Come experience this classic on the big screen! Before the film, hear the Mighty Wurlitzer organ fill the auditorium with magnificent music. In this visual riff on Pink Floyd\'s album \"The Wall,\" successful but drugged-out musician Pink (Bob Geldof) is looking back on his isolated childhood from the confines of a Los Angeles hotel room. Through a swirl of flashbacks and chemical-induced hallucinations, Pink recalls his lonely upbringing, during which he built a symbolic wall to the world as he coped with the death of his father (James Laurenson) and the overbearing ways of his mother (Christine Hargreaves). This film is 1 hour 35 mins and is rated R.
